What a scam
“ We were approached in Sams Club and the lady basically forced us to sign up. She pulled my phone out of my hand and had me tell her the numbers to put in to dial the number so that we could call customer service to our energy provider. We didnt even give her permission yet that we wanted to switch and she immediately called them after speaking with them. She assured us that we were going to save a whole bunch of money and we were going to get a gift card from Sams Club. None of these were true. We got to the checkout and our gift card never arrived. Checking the comments I see that is a common theme. We got our first bill and it was double what we normally pay. Our bill usually runs about $250. Our first bill ran over $500. The next bill was nearly $600 and every bill since then has been right around five and $600 consistently when it used to run right around $250 There has been absolutely no savings. When we went to cancel the person on the phone was pushy and insisted on keeping us from canceling. She even offered us a discount. Then when my husband remained firm with her and said to cancel she said that it was going to take at least three to four billing cycles to process the change. It didnt take that long to put them on our bill. If you see one of these people in Sams Club run the other way do not talk to these people. They are scammers. I dont know what can be done legally, but they are breaking the law they have to be. It is shameful what they are doing to some of these people that cant afford a huge bill like that not that we can. ”

They do not honor their contracts
“ I had a 36 month fixed contract that they cancelled after 7 months. They offered a rate that was over 40% higher per CCF. This was a FIXED natural gas contract yet the excuse was market rates. ”

DO NOT USE CLEAN CHOCE!!
“ Clean Choice raped my 90yo Mom/widow by sending her $1,000.00 electric bill. How could she use $1,000.00 worth of electricity?? SHAME ON YOU! ”

when I say NO I mean NO
“ door knocker comes up in his direct energy uniform. I immediately say no, I don't want your service. He says you already have it. I say no thanks. He opens a little notebook telling me my prices are skyrocketing and he can show me the rates. I say NO again and am forced to slam the door in his face. He is lucky I didn't step out and shove him down the steps. NO trespassing signs should tell him NO but he just didn't get it. ”

Wouldn't recommend
“ I don't really have an experience. Nobody's ever reached out. Nobody's ever called. I was supposed to get a discount credit. Never got that.So i'm switching companies, but don't forget when you switch.Whatever you have saved up doesn't go with you.So it's better to switch and win or once everything's used up ”

Was told it would save money
“ I was told I was going to save money for going with clean sky, but my other price from IGS was 0.1099. And clean sky is 0.1849, so how is this saving me money? The lady that they sent me to talked really really fast and with her foreign accent I did not clearly understand her. Guess that is how it is. Now I am locked into a contract for almost 2x the amount I was paying before. Cant wait til I get this contract over. This is my first bill, so another 11 bills. Guess that is what a hard working disabled veteran gets for taking someones word for it. ”
